A carved walrus ivory Icelandic triptych icon depicting Madonna and the Christ child in the center and bishops or saints on either side. The icon is highlighted with turquoise paint and cased in a tortoiseshell panel with an ivory lock and a metal hook.
Iceland – 18th or 19th Century
4 x 6 in., (10.16 x 15.24 cm.)
Condition: The triptych is in good condition.
