A paper-based, ink drawing of a woman sitting in a chair; her hands folded in her lap. Possibly of Western European origin, the woman is depicted resting under a roof or awning with a pensive stare. The initials of the artist ‘M.A.’ are written at the bottom right of the page. The drawing rests within a wooden frame with a plastic sheet covering.
Western Europe – Later half of 19th Century

Condition: Good overall. Some very light staining and/or foxing. Minor smudge to first initial. Single crack at bottom left of plastic.
