Yakov Besperstov (1929-1998), an oil on panel marine landscape. The painting depicts boats in a harbor during sunset near the island of Capri. Signed lower right in Cyrillic "Besperstov". Housed in a wooden frame. Inscribed and titled on the verso "Jacob Besperstov, Capri, 33 x 41, K.M."
Yakov Besperstov was a Soviet and Russian monumentalism painter. In 1957, he graduated from Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design in Leningrad. Since the late 1950’s he participated in various exhibitions and traveled USSR. In the 1990’s Besperstov lived and worked in France.

Condition: Very good overall. Minor specks on surface. Some chips and flakes to frame in places.
