Afro Libio Basaldella (Italian, 1912 – 1976), oil painting on canvas depicting an abstract composition, 1964. Signed and dated on the lower right.
Note: Afro Basaldella was an outstanding Italian abstract artist, a representative of lyrical abstraction, better known as Afro, as he signed his works only with his name. Afro celebrates improvisation, brightness, emotion and color in his artworks.
27 1/4 x 34 1/4 in., (69.5 x 87 cm.)
Condition: The painting was examined under black light. No visible signs of restoration. A few very small paint chips on the left top corner. The canvas is strong.
