FROM ANTIQUITY TO THE 20TH CENTURY
Lot 60:
A lovely, large, 19th century copper and brass lidded ewer (pitcher) of Indian design, probably used for housing and dispensing water. The body of the ewer exhibits a foliage motif separated by various archways. The lid is similarly decorated with a ribbed circular feature in the center. The lid is hinged from the top of a shapely brass handle indicative of a serpent.
