Lot 71:
A bronze bust of an old woman, which is attached to a nice circular lead base of the period and acts as a paperweight. The piece is attributed to the Netherlands, the headwear being Dutch in style. A later 18th or 19th century cast-iron version can be seen on Page 221 of ‘Decorative Antique Ironwork: A Pictorial Treasury’ by Henry-René D’Allemagne.
