Lot 6:
Alexander Alexandrovich Ulin (Russian, 1877 — 1940). Bust of a man in patinated terracotta. Signed on the base: ‘Ouline.’
Note: Alexander Ulin was a Russian sculptor, and graphic artist. Studied at the Higher Art School under the Imperial Academy of Arts (1910–1916) in the sculpture department under V. A. Beklemishev. Participated in exhibitions: Communities of Artists (1917, 1925), Spring Exhibition in the halls of the Academy of Arts (1918), 1st Sculpture Exhibition (1922), the World of Art group (1924), and the Society of Artists named after. A. I. Kuindzhi (1926), anniversary exhibition of fine arts (1927), Society of Individualist Artists (1928, all Leningrad). He lived in Petrograd – Leningrad. In the second half of the 1920s (?) he emigrated and lived in Paris.

Condition: Excellent condition overall. Two small chips at the front and back of the base.
