Late 19th-century silver tea glass holder, work master Stephen Wakeva (1833-1910), featuring an angled handle, the upper rim is modeled in architectural Neo-Russian style, the front side is engraved with a Cyrillic monogram ‘DM, ‘ flanked by the date November 30 – December 12 on the left and 1887 on the right, with the inscription ‘St. Petersburg’ below. The exterior has traces of gilding. Hallmarked with an 84 Russian silver standard, assay mark under the date 1886, and the maker’s mark. Comes with a silver gilt teaspoon and a crystal glass enhanced with gold patterns.
