An Art Nouveau sculptural clock in the style of Gustav Gurschner was produced for the Seth Thomas Clock Company in the early years of the 20th century. The two-tone spelter body of the piece shows an elegant woman in a flowing dress leaning forward, her arm draped over the clock face, and her own face upturned and staring outward as if looking back at whoever is viewing her. The enamel clock dial is decorated with a garland of flowers and is inscribed at the center top with Seth Thomas’s signature. The clock has a wind-up quarter-repeater mechanism and includes the original key. This example is the largest of its type. America, 20th century.
Dimensions: H: 25 3/4 in., (65.4 cm.)
Condition: Good overall with a nice patina. Some form of adhesive has run down front of clock body, could be cleaned.
