Important Russian Faberge silver gilt and guilloche presentation kovsh, boat-shaped, the exterior is covered with shimmering emerald green enamel over a guilloche ground, set with turquoise cabochons to the front side and handle, raised on four ball feet. Hallmarked under the handle with an 88 Russian silver standard, has an original Faberge scratched inventory number 6384, and bears a struck Faberge hallmark, A.N for Anders Nevalainen. He was born in Kylänlahti village in Pielisjärvi, Finland. Anders Nevalainen was an apprentice in Finland and in St. Petersburg in 1874, a goldworker in 1875 (and registered as an employee of Fabergé), and a master goldsmith in 1885, opened his workshop at 35 Kazanskaya Street.
