Lot 134:
Consisting of blackened steel, the outer surface is adorned with four brass bosses, each chased with foliage and centered around a roundel chased with figures and deities. The area between these bosses is decorated with various applied figures including people riding camels and mahouts aboard elephants, all within a foliate brass border.
India – 19th century.
D: 15 in., (38.10 cm.)
Condition: Some surface rust and some minor bending at the edges. Otherwise great condition.
