A kindjal dagger of the Ottoman Empire with a characteristically shaped bone handle and a blade of steel decoratively inlaid with gold at the forte and possessing two slender fullers that run most of the length of the blade. Kept within a scabbard of wood wrapped in black leather.
Ottoman Empire, 19th Century.
L: 13 3/4 in., (35 cm.)
Condition: Good overall. Blade shows signs of age and wear, with rust in places. The hilt has a large chip along the crossguard section.
