Senior Forestry Hirschfänger, the ricasso is marked: "WKC" and a knight’s helmet TM. The blade shows an etched hunting scene on both sides. The mounts, clamshell cross guard, and three acorns are made of gilt brass. The grip scales are made of off-white celluloid. The scabbard is made of stitched black leather.
Germany, 19th century.
L: 18 1/2 in., (47 cm.)
Condition: Very good with some of the gilding lost.
