The steel blade with spatulated tip bears the maker’s mark "JOSEPH HAWKSLEY’S CELEBRATED" on the left ricasso. The guard has two quillons ending in spherical pommels. The handle is a shaped piece of stag-horn with silver fittings. The sheath is tooled leather with some scuffing and age.
