The clip-pointed steel blade bears the maker’s mark "SCHIVELY/75 CHESTNUT ST/PHILAD." on the left ricasso. The guard is brass with two quillons ending in spherical pommels. The handle is of turned bone, with a pommel of decorative silver. The scabbard is tooled leather with some scuffing and wear from age.
