Lot 258:
The clip-pointed steel blade bears the maker’s mark "JONATHAN CROOKES/SHEFFIELD" surrounding a firing pistol on the left ricasso. The guard is nickel with two quillons ending in spherical pommels. The handle is of bone and has been engraved with the image of a stalk of wheat and three five-pointed leaves. The scabbard is tooled leather with some scuffing and wear from age.

Condition: Very good.
