The sword is a Nazi design inspired by the European cruciform swords of the Middle Ages. The hilt consists of a winged guard with a swastika medallion and a large disc-shaped pommel also bearing a swastika, both being made of nickel silver. The grip is of blue Moroccan leather with a spiraling chain wrap.

The scabbard is of black leather with metal fittings, the throat having an inscribed silver plate. The inscription is set below a ‘reichsadler’ carrying a swastika and reads ‘Bürgermeister/Hahn/13.5.1928’.

Condition: Some minor scratches and scuffs along the blade and some minor oxidization to the hilt. There is some minor wear to the leather handle from use. Chape of the scabbard has some scuffing and the leather appears to be restored. Leather frog is original.
