A Model 1889 Cavalry sabre of the King Karl Uhlan Regiment No. 19 of Württemberg, one of the 26 Uhlan regiments that fought for the German Empire in WW1. This example retains its brilliant bluing and etching and bears a well-functioning folding hilt which has been decorated with the coat of arms of Württemberg. The ricasso is stamped with two crossed sabres and the letters ‘C/K/Co’ surmounted by a crown.

Condition: Blade is in very good condition with etching and bluing perfectly preserved on both sides. Very light scratches towards tip of blade. Original gilding almost entirely preserved. Small dent on lower scabbard fitting. All parts tight.
