A 19th century Saxon cavalry sword belonging to E. Walther of Dresden and etched with both his name and the arms of the House of Wettin, the dynasty that had ruled Saxony for many centuries. The long, curved blade is otherwise etched with foliate decoration along its length. The Wettin arms can also be seen on the brass hilt, though the accompanying plain steel scabbard shows militaristic simplicity.

Condition: Good overall. Blade largely clean with some minor pitting in places. Scabbard with some oxidation in places.
