A Prussian M1811 ‘Blücher’ light cavalry sabre with a long single fullered blade and thick steel scabbard. The handle is of blackened steel with a carved wooden grip. Both hilt and scabbard are stamped with various marks including ‘A.M.XVII.3.69.’ on the scabbard and ‘5.I.E.494.’ on the guard, among many others.
Prussia, 19th Century.
39 7/8 in., (100 cm.)
Condition: Blade appears to be in good condition with light scratches towards the tip. All parts are tight. Scabbard with light oxidation and pitting in places.
