Lot 371:
A spear point blade with a central fuller. Brass knight’s head pommel cap atop a carved hilt with cruciform crossguard quillons. The blade is decorated with an etching depicting the American Eagle and a laurel wreath. The scabbard is made of gilt brass decorated with engraving with two loose suspension rings.
America, 19th Century.
L: 38 in., (97 cm.)
Condition: Very good, light wear to the scabbard.
