A US Coast Guard Officer’s sabre of the early 20th century. These swords are nearly identical to the Model 1852 Naval Officer’s Sword, with the only difference being that U.S.C.G. is inscribed instead of U.S.N. on the blade and hilt. The ricasso is marked ‘Stainless/Spain’. The pommel is affixed with the American Eagle surrounded by 13 stars, representing the original 13 colonies.

Condition: Blade is in excellent condition. Gilding to hilt and scabbard mounts is partially lost. Grip has no apparent damage and twisted wire is tight. Blade fits scabbard perfectly. Leather of scabbard shows minor scratches. All parts tight.
