An Indian tulwar sword with a scabbard. It is of a typical form with a curved single-edged blade and scabbard, constructed of two wooden scales covered with original dark-red velvet, with silver chape and locket inlaid with very fine enameled parrots. The sword itself has ? steel hilt of the characteristic form of Tulwars.
India – 19th century
L: 34 in. (86.36 cm.);
Condition: Very good with expected signs of wear.
