A long, smoothbore barreled 19th-century flintlock pistol possibly of Turkish design. The handle is set with brass mounts bearing a rounded pommel with a pointed brass pommel cap. The wood stock is carved throughout with iron and brass plating attached near the pommel. A filigree design is subtly displayed on the hammer, lock plate, and trigger guard. The barrel features an intricate silver inlay decoration exhibiting a floral and geometrical motif. The ramrod is possibly a dummy as it is too small for the barrel size.
Bore: 19mm
Turkey, 19th Century.
L: 18 1/4 in., (46.5 cm.)
Condition: Good with expected signs of wear, the barrel bands are missing. Brass mount is slightly loose. Hammer only goes to half cock.
