An Ottoman/Turkish single-shot, smooth-bore flintlock pistol with brass mounting. Octagonal to round, pin-fastened, swamped, iron barrel with decorative inlay along the octagonal section. Retains its original scroll engraved, gooseneck hammer, and rounded-back frizzen. Wooden stock and brass plating display various decorative elements and the carved number "378" next to the lockplate (possibly a serial).
Bore: 19mm
Ottoman Empire/Turkey, 19th Century.
L: 15 3/4 in., (40 cm.)
Condition: Good overall. Expected age and wear throughout. The pin holding the barrel to the wooden stock is loose.
