Lot 427:
An 18th-century single-shot flintlock pistol with bronze inlay. It has been carved in the wood with brass inlay, though most of the inlay has fallen out over the years. The pommel is rounded and brass made with a floral theme. The barrel is embossed with bronze detailing with a similar theme as well as a leafy vine motif reaching up to just before the muzzle. The hammer-locking mechanism and trigger function are still operational. The hammer still holds the remnants of the flint used for striking.

Condition: Good overall. Expected signs of age and wear. Wood shows signs of chipping and cracks. Rust and tarnishing on metal throughout. Locking and trigger action are functional but very stiff. Brass plating missing in spots.
