Lot 445:
A brass barrelled flintlock pistol was produced in Liege, Belgium. The pistol is comprised of a wood stock with a checkered grip, a pommel of florally decorated brass, a ramrod with lathe-turned brass fixtures, and a thick octagonal brass barrel. The breech of the barrel bears a stamped oval containing the letters ‘E L G’ set above a star, indicating manufacture in Liege between 1810-1853.
The bore of the pistol is smooth and is 15 mm in diameter.
