A nicely worked iron wrench/spanner for use in setting the spring mechanism of a wheellock gun. This example is also a multitool of sorts, with each end of its long arms having its purpose. One is pointed so that it can be used to pick at things, the other of a slender flat shape so that it can be used to pry or screw/unscrew, as well as having grooves that act as a file.
Europe, ca. 16th/17th Century.
W: 7 in., (17.8 cm.)
Condition: Very good overall with expected signs of age.
