Лот 108:
This helmet is an armet a rondelle style possibly of German origin. Rondelle refers to the disc at the back of the neck, intended to protect the joint where the cheekpieces join together. The cheekpieces open sideways allowing the wearer to put the helmet on with ease. It would then be fastened on with the leather strap at the bottom around the neck. The visor is on a separate joint with a single prong protruding from the front to allow the wearer ease in opening and closing. This was the typical headpiece for a fully armored equestrian knight.
