A French hunting dagger of the 18th century with a gently curved, wide-fullered blade. The grip scales are ebony and affixed to the tang via three-lobed brass rivets. The guard is similarly of brass, with two small upturned quillons.
France, 18th Century.
L: 27 1/2 in., (70 cm.)
Condition: Good overall. Blade shows signs of age and wear. Cracke in places on the hilt. A small split on the brass mount near the pommel.
