An 18th Century French hunting dagger of characteristic style with a nicely crafted dyed bone handle and decorated brass fittings. The single-edged, single-fullered blade bears the remnants of stamped fleur-de-lis on either side. The blade is accompanied by a black leather scabbard which is now missing its fittings.

France, 18th Century.

L: 32 1/4 in., (82 cm.)

Condition: Good condition overall with expected signs of age and wear. Loss to fittings of scabbard. Stamped fleur-de-lis on blade are worn.
