AUCTION 50: ANTIQUE MILITARIA, FALL 2024
Лот 311:
This Victorian Era dagger was made to reassemble a main gauche-style parrying dagger. Used in tandem with a longer main weapon, this dagger would have been wielded in the non-dominant hand and used to parry an attacker’s blade before striking with the longer blade in the dominant hand. This main gauche has a grip wrapped around with wire threading, a cross-guard provided with a finger ring, and a faceted pommel. The ricasso is flat with a single marking shaped like a bird.
