AUCTION 50: ANTIQUE MILITARIA, FALL 2024
Лот 407:
A Late-Renaissance Italian partisan engraved with the heraldry of an Italian noble person or family. We have yet to identify the specific person or family that the heraldry shows, except that they descend partly from the famous Medici family of Florence, as evidenced by the Medici arms being 1/3rd of the coat of arms. Beneath the coat of arms is an abbreviated motto; ‘Bni. Rlr. Gri.’. The partisan has two quillons below the head surmounting an octagonally shaped socket with two langets. The piece is mounted on a short acrylic shaft which screws onto a square acrylic base for display.
