Комиссия аукционного дома:

A single-shot Turkish flintlock pistol in silver mounts originating from the 18th century. This example’s barrel band features a floral design as well as a dummy ramrod on the underside. The wood is smooth on the stock with subtle carvings under the barrel. The locking and firing mechanisms both function though the hammer is very stiff, and the lock plate has intricate detail work. The pommel follows a celestial motif with the Turkish moon and star symbols representing good luck. The trigger guard has been replaced as the current is smaller than the original (denoted by the marks and secure points in the images.

Bore: 19mm

Turkey, 18th Century.

L: 18 in., (46 cm.)

Condition: Good overall. Expected signs of wear and tear throughout. Metal is tarnished and fading in places. Pommel and screw are very loose. Trigger guard is a replacement, not an original.
