Jean-Baptiste Revillon (French, 1819 – 1869), oval bas-relief
depicting a scene of the Descent From the Cross, France, 19th century. Plaster mold casting. Presented under the curved glass. Jean-Baptiste Revillon was a student of Jean-Jacques Feuchere, and exhibited at the Salon de Paris from 1840 until his death.
Dimensions: 12 x 9 in., (30.5 x 22.9 cm.)
Condition: Sculpture in near perfect condition. Glass well preserved with no apparent damage. Rear of piece with some wear from removal from original location.
