Ossip Zadkine (Russian, American, 1890 – 1967), bronze sculpture “La Femme Inconnue” (unknown woman). It is covered with an excellent dark brown patina. Signed with the artist’s initials on the base ‘O.Z.’
Note: Ossip Zadkine was a French-Russian artist known for his figurative Cubist sculptures. His works feature aesthetic qualities inspired by ancient African and Mediterranean art.
Provenance: The Collection of William Cervera (5/31/51 – 3/15/22), New York.
Dimensions: H: 18 7/8 in., (48 cm.)
Condition: The statue appears to be in good condition with a nice bronze patina.
