AUCTION 51: A NEW YORK ART AND COLLECTIBLES SALE

This Chinese bronze incense burner is highly decorated, with the main body of the piece having beautifully molded mythical ‘Qilin’ figures in high relief set at the center on each side and three-dimensional dragons with outstretched wings acting as handles. The lid of the piece is pierced to allow the smoke to pass through and is surmounted by a three-dimensional seated ‘Qilin’ figure.
