A circular glass box with an enamel portrait of Saint Fabiola of Rome at center, with a brass lid decorated with foliate motifs, as well as similarly decorated brass fixtures around the circumference. The glass at the bottom of the box is cut with many facets radiating from the center. The underside of the lid bears a circular mirror.
Limoges, France, 19th Century.
Dimensions: Diameter 6 1/2 in., (16.5 cm.); Height: 3 1/8 in., (7.9 cm.)
Condition: Good overall with a small section of damage on the bottom of the box which appears to have been repaired. Brass fixtures with a nice patina. Enamel portrait in very good condition with only minor scratches.
