This gilt-bronze box is extremely finely decorated throughout with applied floral decoration as well as hundreds of intricate minuscule berries and leaves around the border of the lid. The central panel of the lid is set with cobalt blue enamel decorated with gilt scrollwork, surrounding a circular medallion with a sculptural depiction of a family in a garden in relief. The interior of the box is lined with padded yellow/gold velvet.

Condition: Very good overall. Some fading to the gilding on surface. One of four gilt florets missing on enamel panel. Some wear to felt padding inside. Hinge swings well. No key present.
