Ernst Iosifovich Neizvestny (1926-2016) was a Soviet and American sculptor, known for public monument sculpture-abstract figures. Member of the Latvian Academy of Sciences. His style mixed Symbolism and Expressionism. Ernst Neizvestny created sculptural compositions that adorned many cities in the world. His sculptures and paintings expressing his powerful plasticity were often composed of parts of the human body. He was included in the ranking of the 40 most expensive contemporary Russian artists.
