Konstantin Andreevich Somov (Russian, 1869 -1939), pencil and ink on paper drawing depicting a portrait of a young lady dressed in a lush dress and a shawl decorated with a delicate floral pattern on her shoulders. Signed in Cyrillic lower right.
Note: Konstantin Andreevich Somov was a Russian painter and graphic artist, master of portrait and landscape, illustrator, and one of the founders of the Mir Iskusstva association and the magazine of the same name. Konstantin Somov is known for numerous portrait works, as well as paintings and drawings depicting genre scenes resurrecting the world of court balls and masquerades of the 18th century.
