Lot 14:
St. Petersburg, Kornilov Brothers Factory, 1891-1917. Russian porcelain cup, saucer and five plates in Neo-Russian style decorated with red and blue hexagonal cartouches depicting different animals after the original illustrations by Ivan Bilibin (1876-1942) for the publication, Russian Folk Tales, published by the Expedition of Procurement of State Papers in 1901-1903. The pattern is applied to the plates using the technology of overglaze polychrome printing. The borders are decorated with gilding. Each piece is marked with an overglaze printing manufacturer’s stamp on the verso. Numbered 245 on the verso.
