Russian bisque polychrome porcelain figurine of an old peasant woman. The woman is depicted dressed in a simple brown skirt and a blue shawl, holding a small bag. The figurine is realistically modeled and carefully painted.
Marked on the bottom with a red "Gardner Porcelain Factory in Moscow" stamp. Numbered 15. Has an incised mark: "Gardner" in Cyrillic.
c. 1870s-1890s.
Gardner Porcelain Manufacturer was considered the best porcelain enterprise of the Russian Empire.
